Parent's as Teachers

Last night Cindy, our Parent's as Teachers volunteer, came over to work with Seth for the first time. This is an awesome program in our school distrcit and is absolutely free! I believe this program is all over the US and I only wish I discovered it a little sooner. Basically a volunteer comes over to assess your child and let's you know what type of things they should be working on in this stage of development and what things, if any, are lacking. She also shows you wonderful, creative things to do with your child that you would probably never think of. There are also workshops you can attend for free like music class, daddy/mommy and me, drawing, etc. Cindy said that it was a good time (last night) to brag about Seth and tell her everything he is doing. After we finished our brag session she was actually quite impressed and didn't expect him to be doing quite so much yet. Here is their website: http://www.parentsasteachers.org/site/pp.asp?c=ekIRLcMZJxE&b=272091
It's definitely worth checking out and as I mentioned before, it's totally free and someone will come to your house on your schedule.

That's great! Sounds similar to Florida's Early Steps program. That is the service we are using with both Tyler and Ava. Great resources! Glad Seth is doing so well. Sorry about the separation anxiety. But that is a good sign/phase for his age :)
