Every day Seth suprises me with new words. Last night he was playing with a little monkey that if you push it's belly it plays a song. Well he couldn't get it to work, so he handed it to me and clearly said "help". Also, last night we were playing in the basement, and he has one of those pop up tunnels that was folded up and put in a corner. He saw it and ran over to it yelling "tunnel!" We hardly play with that thing, but i did notice him playing in one exactly like it at daycare a few days ago, so that must be where he picked up that word.
The other night at dinner, as usual i gave him a sippy cup without a lid, but on that particular night he decided he wanted a lid and actually shouted "LID!" at me. It really amazes me that he picks up all these words. I really am not trying to come off like i'm bragging, it's just that i am so amazed by him. He really seems to know the word for almost every object he sees. He never really went through that frustration stage where he wanted something but didn't know how to say it, he just says it! If he does start whining and just repeating "more, more" over and over, i will and ask him to please tell me what he wants more of, and usually he will tell me. It's so great to have that communication. In fact, yesterday at dinner, he said "poop...potty". So i took him to his potty and after a few minutes he pooped AND peed. He was so proud and he even got to flush the potty and said "bye bye" to it. I really am hoping to have him potty trained by 2, but we'll see.
